Singapore, and Tokyo, Japan – March 28, 2025 – Peak Energy, a leading renewable energy developer and independent power producer with operations across Asia, has officially joined the 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy (CFE) Compact, a global initiative led by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) in partnership with the United Nations. The Compact brings together energy buyers, suppliers, governments, system operators, and solution providers committed to decarbonizing electricity systems worldwide by enabling and advancing 24/7 carbon-free energy.
24/7 Carbon-Free Energy signifies that every kilowatt-hour of electricity consumption is matched with carbon-free electricity, every hour of every day, everywhere. It is both the end state of a fully decarbonized electricity system and a transformative approach to energy procurement, supply, and policy design.
By joining the Compact, Peak Energy strengthens its commitment to empower businesses across Asia with clean, affordable, and reliable energy solutions, and accelerates its ambition to help corporates reduce both costs and carbon emissions. The company will collaborate with the 170+ existing signatories to develop the market structures, technologies, and procurement models needed for readily available renewable energy solutions.
“We are proud to join the 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy Compact,” said Gavin Adda, CEO at Peak Energy. “As a company dedicated to helping businesses decarbonize and manage energy costs, 24/7 CFE is core to our vision. It already is part of our day-to-day, as we increasingly incorporate storage solutions into our renewable energy PPAs, notably for our customers in Japan. We look forward to working with other signatories to accelerate the transition to a fully decarbonized grid.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Peak Energy to the 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy Compact.
